Mom ʟᴏsᴛ 4 Babies, Gave Birth To Triplets Thanks To Mɪʀᴀᴄʟᴇ Gift Of Her Late Mother

Anna Mitchell tragically ʟᴏsᴛ four children and thought she would never be a mother. But when her mother ᴅɪᴇᴅ, she left Anna some money in her will and she used that money to pay for IVF treatment.

To her sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇ, she discovered she was Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ with not one baby – but three. She gave birth to three gifts from heaven in July – and the whole family will celebrate their first Christmas together.

Anna, 30 from Mansfield, who lives with husband Nick, said: ‘We haven’t bothered to decorate our house for years, as it’s just the two of us and no children to fill it.

But this Christmas, we have three great little reasons to decorate the house from head to toe with baubles, tinsel and lights. This is the first Christmas we’ve had with our three little Mɪʀᴀᴄʟᴇs, Summer, Joseph and Jacob – and we want to make the most of that.

The couple were trying to have a baby when Anna’s mother, Nicola, found out she had liver ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀ.

She ʟᴏsᴛ her first child to an ectopic pregnancy – where the child develops in the fallopian tubes instead of the uterus – while her mother was in hospice, before her ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ.

She ʟᴏsᴛ her second child, also to an ectopic pregnancy, in the summer of 2010, and then ʟᴏsᴛ her third child in November 2010.

She was rushed into the operating room after losing her second child and doctors removed her fallopian tubes.

Anna said: ‘It was life-ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴛening for me to lose these babies because each time my fallopian tubes could have burst. The doctors removed one of my fallopian tubes. It was devastating, it took away some of my motherhood opportunities.

After losing my third child, I couldn’t believe it. I have ʟᴏsᴛ three children. I was so scared that I would never be a mother. ”

The doctors informed Anna that it would be difficult for her to ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇ naturally. So the couple decided to try IVF treatment, using the money left by their late mother.

She said: ‘I’m going to use it to start IVF treatment. If I can’t be a mother naturally, I need help. And mom’s money is a perfect gift from her. She knew what kind of mother I wanted to be, and now she’s giving me a chance.

The couple had their first infertility treatment at the CARE fertility facility in Nottingham, to no avail.

Anna said: ‘It was devastating, but I knew we had to keep trying. That’s what mom wants. ”

So in April 2012, they tried a second time, but again Anna had an ectopic pregnancy – and ʟᴏsᴛ her fourth child.

They decided to have one final pass in December 2012, and she became Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ.

She said: ‘I lay on the scanning table barely daring to breathe. And it was there – a small heartBᴇᴀᴛ was Bᴇᴀᴛing away. I cried with relief. I’ve ʟᴏsᴛ four babies, and now it’s here, finally a heartBᴇᴀᴛ in the right place. I feel as if my mother is by my side and helping me.”

But at 13 weeks Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ, the sonographer had great news for them – not just one baby in there, but three babies.

She said: ‘I almost fell off the table in sʜᴏᴄᴋ. Then I started crying again. I not only had one child, I had three. I’ve been waiting for years to have a baby, and now three of them are born at the same time. And all thanks to my mom, it’s a triple gift from heaven for me. ‘

The babies were born in July, by caesarian at Kingsmill Hospital in Mansfield. Summer weighs 3Ib8 and ɪᴅᴇɴᴛɪᴄᴀʟ twins Joseph in 3Ib8 and Jacob in 4Ib5.

Anna added: ‘It’s going to be the best Christmas ever this year, with three presents from our heaven. I’ve decorated the house from head to toe, and I know that somewhere out there, Mom is looking at us.

Having three children made up for all that heartbreak. And it’s all thanks to mom and her wonderful gift that we’re going to have the best Christmas ever.”
