Tᴏᴜᴄʜɪɴɢ Moment When Newborn Twins Hᴜɢ Each Other Right After Birth

A heart-melting moment was captured as two new-born sisters immediately hugged each other after being born in the Bʀᴀᴢɪʟian city of Balneario Camboriu.

Twin sisters, Liz and Bᴇᴀᴛriz, are attached to different placentas and are not ɪᴅᴇɴᴛɪᴄᴀʟ siblings. Their embrace, said to have melted many hearts in the delivery room for the first time.

The twins’ mother, Guimaraes, shared the moment on her Instagram page on February 18, which went viral shortly after it was uploaded. She wrote: “Liz hug Bᴇᴀᴛriz like it was, ‘phew sis, you’re out here with me!’”

“It will be very special for them to witness this moment in the future,” said Bruna Costa, the photographer who took the photo.

Mother-of-three Guimaraes said: “We were planning to have our fourth child this year, but it came a little earlier, and it was a big sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇ, twins! We have always dreamed of having a big family, and now we are so blessed with five children.”

Guimaraes revealed that her eldest son predicted the arrival of twins in the early days of her pregnancy.

She continued: “A few days before I found out I was Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ, my oldest child dreamed that she was Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ with twins. When I saw those two kids on that little screen, I was sʜᴏᴄᴋed. I can not believe it.”

The babies were born at 37 weeks without any complications. The babies are growing well.

The mother also added: “The moment Liz and Bᴇᴀᴛriz is amazing. I will keep this moment until they grow up, I will show them. And I also hope the two babies will grow up together connected like this.”
